When I photograph families, my focus is on capturing the real, lovely moments that make your family unique.

Mini Session

 

As a new photographer, I'm starting out by offering short, mini sessions of about 20 minutes each.

My goal is to capture a few unscripted moments as well as a posed family picture.

How long have you been a photographer?

I started out shooting for my high school newspaper in 1999, and really got into photography as a personal hobby when my daughter was born. I started taking professional headshots and family portraits in 2024, and launched Dad Behind the Camera in 2026.

What locations do you recommend for a families or portrait session?

I'm happy to take your suggestions on a location if you have one in mind, but I've found a few great parks in the Maineville and Morrow areas that will work great for most seasons. I'm currently on the lookout for an indoor studio space as well.

How far in advance should we book a session?

Please reach out to me and we can work that out! I have some flexibility on the weekends and will do my best to accommodate your needs.

What should we wear for our family or portrait session?

Coordinate complementary colors and neutral tones rather than matching identically, opting for comfortable layers and avoiding bold logos or complex patterns.

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

I commit to a digital delivery within 7 days of the session.

Do you offer digital files, prints, or albums?

All of the above! I'm happy to deliver any method you would like and can help make sure your memories are preserved and presented in the best way possible.
